Itinerary
Zurich is a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 2 days in Zurich:
Day 1:
- Start your day with a delicious breakfast at one of the many cafes in the Old Town. I recommend Cafe Schober, which has a charming atmosphere and serves amazing pastries.
- After breakfast, take a stroll through the Old Town and admire the beautiful architecture and cobblestone streets. Be sure to visit the Fraumünster Church, which has stunning stained glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.
- Next, head to the Bahnhofstrasse, one of the most famous shopping streets in the world. You can find everything from luxury brands to Swiss chocolate shops here.
- For lunch, try some traditional Swiss cuisine at Zeughauskeller, a historic restaurant that serves hearty dishes like rosti and sausages.
- In the afternoon, take a boat tour on Lake Zurich to enjoy the beautiful scenery and get a different perspective of the city.
- End your day with a visit to the Lindenhof Hill, a peaceful park with panoramic views of the city.
Day 2:
- Start your day with a visit to the Kunsthaus Zurich, one of the most important art museums in Switzerland. It has an impressive collection of works by Swiss artists as well as international masters like Monet and Van Gogh.
- Next, head to the Zurich Zoo, which is home to over 400 species of animals from around the world. Don't miss the Masoala Rainforest exhibit, which recreates a tropical rainforest environment.
- For lunch, try some street food at the Im Viadukt market, which has a variety of stalls selling everything from falafel to sushi.
- In the afternoon, take a walk along the Limmat River and explore the trendy Zurich West neighborhood. You'll find lots of cool street art, cafes, and shops here.
- End your day with a visit to the Uetliberg Mountain, which offers stunning views of the city and the surrounding Alps. You can take a train or hike up to the top.
