Shanghai is a vibrant and exciting city with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 4 days in Shanghai:

Day 1:

Start your day by visiting the iconic Bund, a waterfront area that offers stunning views of the city skyline. Take a stroll along the promenade and admire the colonial architecture of the buildings. Afterward, head to Yu Garden, a beautiful classical Chinese garden that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. You can also explore the nearby bazaar for some souvenir shopping. In the evening, catch a performance at the Shanghai Acrobatics Troupe or enjoy a night cruise on the Huangpu River.

Day 2:

Begin your day by visiting the Shanghai Museum, which houses over 120,000 pieces of ancient Chinese art and artifacts. Next, head to the French Concession, a charming neighborhood with tree-lined streets, cafes, and boutique shops. Stop by Tianzifang, a maze-like alleyway filled with art galleries, cafes, and shops selling unique handicrafts. Day 3:

In the afternoon, visit the Oriental Pearl Tower, a landmark tower with an observation deck and a glass-bottomed walkway. You can also visit the nearby Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, which houses over 450 species of marine life. In the evening, enjoy a night out in the vibrant nightlife district of Xujiahui.
