A 9-day trip to Vietnam is a perfect amount of time to explore the country from North to South. Here's an itinerary that will take you to some of the most popular destinations in Vietnam while also giving you plenty of opportunities to party and have fun.

Day 1: Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi and check into your hotel. Spend the day exploring the city's Old Quarter, where you'll find narrow streets lined with shops, cafes, and street food vendors. In the evening, head to Bia Hoi Junction, a popular spot for drinking beer and socializing with locals and other travelers.

Day 2: Halong Bay

Take a day trip to Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its emerald waters and towering limestone cliffs. You can take a boat tour of the bay, go kayaking, or even try your hand at squid fishing. In the evening, head back to Hanoi and hit up some of the city's bars and clubs.

Day 3: Hanoi to Hue

Take a morning flight to Hue, a city known for its imperial history and beautiful architecture. Spend the day exploring the city's ancient citadel and tombs, and in the evening, head to DMZ Bar, a popular spot for drinking and dancing.

Day 4: Hue to Hoi An

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City
