Sikkim, Gangtok, and Darjeeling are stunning destinations, and I’m excited to help you plan an amazing 3-day itinerary. Since you’re arriving in Bagdogra on December 2nd at 5:00 PM and leaving on December 10th at 9:00 AM, we’ll make the most of your time. Let’s dive in!

## Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok (December 3rd)

Morning:

• Travel to Gangtok: After arriving at Bagdogra, you’ll need to take a taxi or shared vehicle to Gangtok. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, so you might arrive around 10 PM. Check into your hotel and get some rest.

Afternoon:

• Explore MG Road: After breakfast, head to MG Road, the heart of Gangtok. Stroll around, enjoy the local shops, and grab a bite at one of the cozy cafes. Don’t miss trying some local Sikkimese cuisine!

Evening:

• Visit Enchey Monastery: A short drive from MG Road, this serene monastery offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Spend some time soaking in the tranquility.
• Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Try some momos (dumplings) and thukpa (noodle soup) – they’re delicious!

## Day 2: Gangtok to Darjeeling (December 4th)

Morning:

• Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir: Start your day early with a trip to Tsomgo Lake (also known as Changu Lake). It’s about a 2-hour drive from Gangtok. The lake is stunning, especially in winter! If time permits, visit Baba Mandir nearby.

Afternoon:

• Travel to Darjeeling: After your visit, head back to Gangtok for lunch, then take a taxi to Darjeeling (around 3-4 hours). Check into your hotel and freshen up.

Evening:

• Darjeeling Mall Road: Explore the vibrant Mall Road, where you can shop for souvenirs and enjoy the local vibe. Grab a cup of Darjeeling tea at one of the tea houses.
• Dinner: Enjoy a cozy dinner at a local restaurant. The views of the mountains at night are breathtaking!

## Day 3: Explore Darjeeling (December 5th)

Morning:

• Tiger Hill Sunrise: Wake up early (around 4 AM) and head to Tiger Hill to catch the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. It’s a magical experience!
• Batasia Loop: On your way back, stop at the Batasia Loop, a beautiful garden with a panoramic view of the mountains and the toy train.

Afternoon:

• Darjeeling Himalayan Railway: Take a ride on the famous toy train, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a charming experience that gives you a glimpse of the scenic beauty of the region.
• Visit the Peace Pagoda: This stunning structure offers a peaceful atmosphere and great views of the surrounding hills.

Evening:

• Local Market: Explore the local market for some last-minute shopping. You can find beautiful handicrafts, tea, and woolen clothes.

Departure (December 6th)

Morning:

• Travel back to Bagdogra: After breakfast, check out and head back to Bagdogra for your departure. Make sure to leave early to account for travel time.
